PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Science & Information Technology Shafi Jan has said that the overwhelming and enthusiastic reception given to Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and the party leadership during the Street Movement across interior Sindh is a clear indication that the message of the September 27 long march has reached every city, village and street across Pakistan.

He said that those feared by Imran Khan’s growing popularity in Sindh and across the country had resorted to baseless propaganda over Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s domestic travel.

The information minister thanked the people of Sindh for their overwhelming participation in the public outreach campaign in Shikarpur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Khairpur and Naushahro Feroze.

He said their response had demonstrated that the people of Sindh were ready to stand for Imran Khan’s release, real freedom and the September 27 long march.

He stated that the people of Sindh were against oppression, injustice and political victimisation. They have grown tired of traditional politics, political monopolies and poor governance.

He said the strong public response to PTI in interior Sindh is clear evidence that the party’s roots were firmly established in the province as well. The people of Sindh, he added, have once again demonstrated that they stood firmly with their leader Imran Khan.

Shafi Jan made it clear that the September 27 long march towards Islamabad would be a decisive step in the struggle for Imran Khan’s release and real freedom.

He said the march would mark a major milestone in the movement, adding that the people of Pakistan would soon free themselves from the “mandate-stealing and incompetent” federal government.
