HYDERABAD: The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) informed members of the general public and government functionaries on Thursday that a suspended official — Additional Controller of Examinations Imtiaz Ahmed Jagirani — has retained possession of the keys to his designated office, as well as the keys to a sensitive branch in the office that was operating under him.

The commission said that it shall not accept, recognise or take responsibility for any documents, directives or communications issued or handled by him during his suspension period.

In a press release issued here on Thursday, an SPSC spokesman said that Jagirani was currently under suspension, but despite his suspension, he had been continuously violating administrative orders by illegally attending his office and unlawfully possessing and utilising government assets.

He said that despite multiple clear warnings from the administration, the official had unlawfully retained possession of the keys to his designated office, as well as the keys to a sensitive branch in the office that was operating under him.

He said that the suspended officer had also continued to retain and use official government assets without legal authority or authorisation, and that his actions demonstrated a blatant disregard for the official suspension orders and administrative protocol.

He said that the SPSC chairperson had taken serious and strict notice of these illegal actions, and that appropriate disciplinary and legal courses of action were already underway to address this breach of conduct.

In the interim, said the spokesman, the general public and government departments were strongly advised to remain aware of this situation and to refrain from dealing with Imtiaz Ahmed Jagirani in any official capacity regarding SPSC matters. He said the commission remained committed to maintaining transparency, integrity and strict adherence to the rule of law across all its administrative functions.
