KARACHI: The University of Karachi had approved a proposal to roll out an Artificial Intelligence (AI) programme in all faculties of the varsity.

A decision to this effect was taken by the academic council of the KU in its meeting held on Monday.

It was decided that the next meeting of the council would take up recommendations to be prepared by the departmental chairpersons and the directors of research centres and institutes.

The meeting, chaired by acting KU Vice Chancellor Prof Muhammad Tufail Jokhio, was held at the Chinese Teachers Memorial Auditorium.

During the meeting, it was decided that the recommendations of the Faculty of Law, once approved by the Pakistan Bar Council and the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, will be presented in the meeting of the academic council for discussion and implementation after the approval of the house.
