US President Donald Trump says his team has met with an Iranian delegation, while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Asked if the meeting took place, Trump says it took place “an hour ago”.
“It was a meeting that lasted for three hours; it ended an hour ago,” Trump says. “It was a very good meeting. I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t want to do it; it’s greatness or obliteration.”
Asked how he felt after the meeting, Trump replies, “I feel very good right now.”
According to AFP, he adds that the meeting was “productive” and that “They have another one scheduled in the very near future.”
