QUETTA: Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani has assured Turbat University of the provincial government’s cooperation in addressing its financial, administrative and academic challenges, particularly the recruitment of senior faculty and key statutory positions.

The assurance was given by the provincial finance minister during a meeting with University of Turbat Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Gul Hassan on Tuesday.

The meeting discussed the university’s financial constraints, preparations for the upcoming University Finance Commission meeting and difficulties arising from vacancies in senior faculty and administrative positions.

Prof Dr Gul Hassan sought the minister’s support for approval to sanction, advertise and fill the vacant posts, stressing that these appointments were essential for accreditation of academic programmes of the university’s Strategic Plan 2030.
