Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has invited the world to cooperate in building a global order based on international law, noting that it must be based on justice and common will.
“We must not allow the 21st Century to go back to an era of only the powerful and the bullying powers and hegemons,” he says before the UN General Assembly. “We must not build a world in which military power replaces legitimacy, terrorism replaces politics and negotiations, and war replaces dialogue and diplomacy.”
He invites the world to cooperate “not out of weakness, but in a deep belief in our own power and steadfastness”, imploring the forum to think about a “worthy future”.
