Abdul Raheem Abdullah, Speaker of the People’s Majlis of the Maldives, has appreciated “Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability,” while expressing his desire to deepen bilateral engagement and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest, according to Inter-Services Public Relations.

In a meeting with Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir in Rawalpindi, he discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional security and bilateral cooperation.

CDF Munir underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to its “brotherly relations” with the Maldives and reaffirmed “commitment to further strengthening these ties for the mutual benefit of both countries.”
