Oil prices have fallen by more than one per cent as markets weigh the possibility of a truce between the US and Iran, against concerns that increasing attacks on Saudi Arabia by Yemen’s Houthi rebels could disrupt supply from the key Middle Eastern producer, Reuters reports.
As of 1215 GMT (5:15pm PKT), Brent is down $1.34, or 1.3pc, at $105.26 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is $1.83, or 1.9pc, lower at $92.78 a barrel.
