Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi rejected claims that Tehran has compromised on its nuclear programme, saying Iran’s position on the issue remains unchanged, Iranian state media reports.
Speaking to IRIB before leaving New York, Araghchi said Iran had conveyed its seven-point proposal to the United States and was awaiting an official response from Washington, expected through intermediaries today.
He said recent discussions with the Qatari mediator focused on possible ways to meet Iran’s conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, adding that Tehran’s position was clear and that reopening the waterway depended on fulfilling those conditions.
