Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stressed the special importance of the Strait of Hormuz to regional and global security, according to state-run IRNA.
In a message marking World Maritime Day, he called for a responsible approach based on preserving stability and the interests of regional countries.
Pezeshkian said that sustainable security in the Persian Gulf and its waterways depended on “cooperation and responsibility among regional countries”.
