Young World

The magazine which gives information about the world, tells stories, riddles, articles, recipes and crafts is none other than Young World magazine. Apart from providing us with these things to read, it also helps us improve our writing, reading and comprehension skills.

It is not wrong to say that YW is the only magazine playing a paramount role in encouraging kids to contribute. Moreover, the magazine keeps its language simple and easy to understand for young readers. I thank the YW team for bringing out an amazing magazine which increases our knowledge.

Wonder crafts

This is regarding the Wonder crafts “Fringed flower vase” by Asif Ali (YW, June 24). No doubt the writer has done a great job in creating so small fringe flowers. I have made one and I realised the hard work done by the writer.

The craft was easy to make but took considerable time and the writer aptly said that the fringe flowers are to be made when one is free. The crafts in this section are always wonderful and the instruction perfect for anyone to make the craft.

Things that matter

This is regarding the story “Things that matter” by Sadia Maqsood (July 1, 2017). The story was worth reading as it discussed the idea of teamwork and hard work — these, I believe are the things that matter the most in everyday life.

Every student deals with almost the same circumstances at school. This is where teamwork becomes necessary in order to keep in touch with the friends, study well, help and share with each other.

While hard work brings success, these days, kids are intensely distracted by mobile phones, televisions, computers and other unnecessary stuff which results in low grades. And this story tells how a student developed a selfish attitude and thus made her life miserable. We must care for others because humanity is what we need right now.

Joys in life

God has blessed us with all sorts of things — loving parents, kind relatives and a life full of many luxuries. But have you ever thought of those who don’t have such blessings in life? How do you think their Eid day goes by?

As Muslims and, above all, humans, it is our duty to help these people, by giving them something to smile for, making them experience joy. The Eid is gone but your hearts should remain caring and helping, and don’t limit your humbleness to Ramazan and Eid, be good and do good everyday!
