Indy’s new quest after ‘Raiders’

Marvel Comics has announced Indiana Jones and the Sword of Pandemonium, a new five-issue comic series arriving during the 2026 holiday season.

Written by Jason Aaron with artwork by Aaron Kuder, the series serves as a direct sequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark, picking up immediately after the events of the 1981 film. The story follows Indiana Jones as he races across the globe to recover a powerful biblical weapon after his old enemies return and target his former companion, Marion Ravenwood, who once again joins him on the adventure.

The series promises a new era of Indiana Jones stories while continuing the treasure hunts, ancient mysteries and action that made the films a classic.

Nashville airport may be named for Dolly Parton

Nashville International Airport could be renamed Dolly Parton International Airport following a petition that has gathered more than 168,000 signatures.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced the proposal on August 28, saying it would honour Parton, who died aged 80 on August 25. Parton’s team has expressed appreciation and said they are open to the idea.

Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell also supports the renaming, calling it a “love letter” to the country music legend.

The proposal will be discussed at a meeting on September 17, with more details expected in the coming weeks.

A new side of the Upside Down

The Stranger Things universe has expanded with a new Webtoon adaptation of Stranger Things: The Other Side, released in eight chapters.

Based on the 2018 Dark Horse comic by Jody Houser, the story retells the show’s first season from Will Byers’ perspective, following his struggle to survive in the terrifying Upside Down while his friends search for him in Hawkins. The series also revisits key moments from Season 1 through Will’s eyes and fills in events that were not shown on screen.

Following its strong debut, the Webtoon topped the platform’s horror charts, with more Stranger Things comic adaptations expected to follow.
