Mums of different kinds

Everyone has a mother, and to everyone their own mother is so different from the rest — for better or worst! There is no doubt that mothers are the most loving creatures and we love them to the moon and back.

But there are times we do wish that mums won’t get so worked up over things that kids do or that they learn to relax so that their little ones can take a few steps on their own, even if they stumble and fall.

Here is a list of some of the different types of mums that there are and some super-mums can even be a mixture of all these types!

So read on and enjoy, with your mums of course, this humorous take on their mothering styles!

The tiger

This one is extremely strict and her kids better watch their back if they plan to do some mischief for once she catches them, they have had it! But this is why her kids are the best in the neighbourhood, so well-mannered and disciplined!

The lawnmower

She makes life as easy for her kids as she can — cleaning up the mess they make, serving whatever they demand, helping out in homework and assignments — basically removing any problem that comes in the way of her child enjoying an easy life.

Life is like a well-maintained lawn, neatly weeded and mowed, for the kids. Needless to say, the kids take it all for granted and get spoilt.

The panda

Very loving, you can’t pass by a panda mum without getting a big hug and cuddle from her. She also plays with the kids, lets them jump all over her and dirty her clothes with their chocolate-stained fingers.

But she won’t let the kids get into any harm or do some serious mischief. She knows when to be loving and when to be strict. She’s great!

The carefree

She lets her kids experience life on their own, without trying to make things too easy for them. This hands-off parenting style makes the kids confident, but sometimes unruly too.

If you tell her that her child broke the window while playing cricket, she will shrug her shoulders and says, “Kids will be kids!”

The helicopter

They hover over their kids all the time. Even when they are out of sight, they manage to keep an eye somehow, though this is not so much out of the need to be strict as it is to know what their kids are up to. They feel their kids’ business is their business.

You can’t hide anything from her!
